Our Models
These Montgomery County residents have joined this cause to promote beauty and employability beyond
physical appearance. By modeling, they are making a statement about what is important to them:
lending a hand to those less fortunate.

We are given different environments and resources but everyone deserves a better life. There is little I can do to improve the lives of many right now to a noticeable degree, but I can try to seize opportunities in which I could participate and have a greater impact as a whole.
Maria Adams
It is a blessing to help our brothers and sisters transform their lives for a fresh start.

It makes me incredibly happy to be part of such a great initiative of tackling the ongoing problem of homelessness. Having the opportunity to be in this fashion show is not only my way of giving back, but a great way to start a positive movement within our community. Everyone deserves to live a positive & happy life.

The idea of helping people, who have lost everything and are confronting a dramatic change their life style, inspires me to support a noble cause. A small contribution that together with others can make a big change in someone’s life opening new doors.
Yolanda Maria Martinez
As a survivor of domestic violence and homelessness I know the hardship, sadness and stigma of someone who had no where to turn and no where to call home... Through the kindness of strangers who gave me the opportunity to uplift my family through their benevolence and belief in lifting others I am honored to pay it forward supporting this initiative that will shine a light on the path to healing, empowerment and hope.
Kassandra Cardozo
Our society, our community, our families needs to be aware of how fragile our world really is. For any of us, the loss of a job, the death of a spouse or a child or a severe physical disability could lead to total despair. May people in shelters across our communities have lost their home, their jobs, and are facing desertion by families and friends. If each of us provides a little support, it could go a long way and it could make a difference not only on a person but our world.
Bill Little
Having a home is belonging, being part of a bigger group that you care about and one that cares about you. Lacking shelter is an extreme hardship, but lacking that belonging is a much greater difficulty.
It is also important in reminding our Montgomery County family that many people still need help to come 'home' to their community.
Lisa Ralli
I love to volunteer and it has always been my ultimate goal to do missionary work. Unfortunately, over the years my homelessness has interfered with my ability to meet my ultimate goal; so I continue to volunteer. I am glad to have this opportunity to give back to an event that actually is targeting an issue that is very personal for me.
Amelia Dencker
They say home is where your heart is. In anyone’s life, the unexpected can turn your life upside down and leave you homeless. An illness in your family, which our family has a lot of, a death, or other tragedy can happen to anyone. To be a hand that reaches out, connecting hearts, that’s what a home should feel like. And we should all help each other.
